a unique collection of functional pottery

While I'm throwing or making the vessel or object I am considering what line drawing will accentuate the shape.  I think about my current palette. I imagine how the viewer will see the final piece. I appreciate the vessel as a visual ground that the eye of the viewer will be able to walk all over with their eyes. My excitement for the process only gets greater when I am working on the surface decoration.

All of my work is handmade and hand painted. No two pieces are exactly the same. I repeat shapes and designs but I do not make exact duplicates. Each piece of pottery is unique.

My current palette of colors includes: chartreuse ( light hue and a dark hue), turquoise ( light hue and dark hue) chocolate brown, lavender (light hue and dark hue) and pea green (light hue and dark hue). I am always testing to find new colors to add to my palette. I welcome suggestions. I would be happy to make any piece and paint it in the colors that you would like. I also use a white clay body and a brown clay body and can make any shape in either one.
